EDUCATION and CORPORATE LIFE

 I, Julide Sesiguzel, have completed my undergraduate degree at Istanbul University Faculty of Economics and my master’s degree at Yeditepe University Integrated Marketing Communication department.

My business life commenced in a tourism company as an Operations and Marketing Supervisor and then continued as a Textile Import Specialist in a German company.

These positions, which helped me to develop my ability to work with customers in different cultures, also provided me the opportunity to establish the Customer Relations department of Turkey’s first corporate jewellery company “Gilan” and to experience luxury brand marketing, working together with world’s leading brand managers.

My passion for brand positioning and my understanding of customer-oriented service continued as a Brand Manager at American cosmetics brand Esteé Lauder. During this time, I have launched Tom Ford Beauty brand in Turkey and worked as the brand ambassador of Esteé Lauder’s corporate social reasonability projects in Turkey.

Within the scope of brand management consultancy, I realized the development of shopping centres and started to work with Redevco, a Dutch Capital company, focusing on research through the country to locate the brand effectively at retail points. I managed all branding activities and marketing components of shopping malls such as Gordion Erzurum and Gordion Ankara and led the birth of new brands and the creation of marketing strategies.

CONSULTANCY

In 2010, I gave up 21 years of my corporate life and participated in trainings and management consultancy certificate programs. I gave various trainings in Time Manager International within PDR Group for more than 2 years. In addition to the experiences I gained through working with colourful teams and foreign executives in different corporate cultures, I am evaluating the gains I have earned from the trainings I received both at home and abroad in different periods by consulting people and institutions.

In order to prepare young generations in business life, to prepare processes and business plans in which ideas will not be limited and creative thinking and created business / service / product models can be commercialized and branded, it is aimed at senior students for ‘Innovation’, ‘Branding’ and ‘Trend Analysis’. I continue my academic life by giving both theoretical and practical courses and organize seminars for young people on behalf of social responsibility.

I try to realize and make this principle my life motto “You have to share your learnings, experiences and thoughts in order to enrich yourself.”

I give consultancy on training and development programs and how these should be supported and managed in order to create your “personal brand with a brand oriented vision, to be motived as soon as it is seen” and to maintain “the positive effect created”.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROJECTS

“Kids are our Future” and “Our home is Istanbul” are the two projects of Turkish Education Foundation and I have made voluntary work at these projects in order to introduce Istanbul to the kids which did not have the opportunity to break free from their hood and couldn’t have the opportunity to explore Istanbul. I have also supported Istanbul Foster Family Association’s communication studies as a member and as a volunteer. I also worked at “Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign” which was run by the founder Evelyn Lauder.
